Hi guys. The only Nitro I ever owned (to date anyways!), was the RS2000. Did anyone else have it? Can someone tell me how much Nitros have moved on since then? I really want to buy one, but I remember this was useless in terms of reliability! Seriously, the engine kept over heating and breaking down. I used to rebuild the engine with all new parts from scratch, run it in perfectly, yet still the same problems. I had to tweak the throttle stop all of the time and it was never right!

I would love a Nitro again but it has to be reliable. Any ideas? :)

all my nitros run great as long as you get in with a good brand and know how to tune the engines

yeap I don't know about the onroad, but I have had a traxxas and two HPI off-roads, and although the traxxas T-Maxx is a great truck and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it, it had a few reliability issue box stock but nothing major. However the HPI Savage X SS and the Baja 5B is a lot more reliable and more durable right out of the box if you ask me. I didn't have the newest version of the T-Maxx but all the problems that I had with my 2.5 involve the exact same chassis components that are on the 3.3. I have a gasser, and I don't think it gets any more reliable or easy to tune and maintain than with a 2 stroke gasoline engine in a large scale vehicle. Have you considered a baja 5b or are you looking for on-road?
