I used to be able to type in both the Spanish alphabet and the English alphabet. Now with my new pomputer I can{t use some of the commands I used to be able to use, alt168 made this ¿ now I am pressing all kinds of keys and everything is coming out all f'd up. Please help. I don't even have the stock setting anymore!
¿

I got it back, but I was really trying to set it up like it used to be set, alt then 168 was the upside down ?. alt then 164 was a lower case enya and so forth. Anyone have any advise?

alt160 á
alt162 ó
alt163 ú
alt164 ñ
alt165 Ñ
alt168 ¿
alt171 ½
alt172 ¼
It works in Outlook Express but in windows when I hit alt164 I get a back command.

umm i dunno

I got this though

á 160 ¿ 168
é 130 ¡ 173
í 161 ª 166
ó 162 º 167
ú 163 Ñ 164
É 144 ñ 165

Those are the commands I am looking for but it is not coming through, When I try alt164 I get a backspace into the previous page.

My spanish teachers got a a dell i will look on her spanish keyboard key today well I'm outie peace

You need to run 'Character Map' in windows to find out which 'Default' font set has been selected. When you run charmap you will quickly see what I am talking about.

This will get you set.

My user name probably doesn't look right any more now either does it?

Character Map sets the default Language for the keyboard. I had played with Languages last night and I reached my dilema where it was not doing Spanish nor the correct English.

Not at all. The only place I can get the correct commands is in outlook or outlook express. Could it be some sort of setting that is a default in IE?
