RC Driving Style
This is directed to those of you that run the engine. How do like it the k4.6 overall?
 
Only got through breakin before I had to get rid of it, but I was impressed adn it was still very rich. Its the only engine I've ever seen that started for the first time 2nd pull and idle the entire tank at 190 degrees. Purred like a kitty :D
 
i have just broke mine in i only turnt the needles about half a tunr around and it is flying already. and it dose start on 2nd sometimes 3rd pull.
 
Cool. I just wish they made a non pull start version. Does it have more high or low end?
 
i haven't tuned it good yet so i can't tell you what the power is like.
you can put the roto start on it if you don't like the pull start.

both it has power to wheelie and lots of rpm. (2.9@35000 rpm) same rpm as the collari 30 and more rpm than the SH, and wasp.

the top rpm is 39000 i need a temp gun then i can really give it a good tune and see how it go's.
but it dosen't have as much rpm as the wasp .28 i think that has 42,000 RPM.
 
can i put 18 tooth cb and 47 tooth on my k 4.6 i want hight top end so would this be a good gearing for top end
 
I want pull start so it will fit in my mugen truggy!
 
Anyone know of a non pull start back plate that will work with the k4.6?
 
Can't you just take the pullstarter off? Just leave shaft in though? I ran my Wasp .28 like that cause I had to use a drill to start it.

\Nope HPI has not come out with the any thing yet. P/S only..
Some peps have jerry riged the roto start to the 4.6 but thats it for now.HPI should have a back plate and a roto start some were in the making soon....
 
By the description that sounds like a stock cover plate, not a non pull but I'm not sure.
 
Well i orderd the k4.6. Along with the truggy kit. Now i have to get the carbon pipe!
