I have a question for Revo Racers or anyone that can help me!!! My truck will shift into second fine but I have to go about 1/4-1/2 throttle till it shifts and then when it shifts up and i try to nail it the rpms just rev to the sky!!! So i tried switching to a freshly charged batt, still does it!!!, i tried adjusting the tranny to shift a bit sooner, still does it, so i dont know what else to try!!! I put the vid to show what happens, its short because there were like 3 cars coming at me towards the end@!! HAHA

I can't even hear second gear..Other than that seems like the slipper...Sure its in second?

yea, where is the slipper because i thought that but in a diff post people said no. but I'm still new with this kind stuff so i just need to know where the slipper is and am i right that you tighten it all the way then back off 1/4 of a turn??? I hope so, and then ill do it tomorrow!!! PLZ HELP

Yeah, I don't hear second gear either.
Your slipper clutch is behind your spur gear. Tighten the nut that holds the spur gear on to the transmission case. Turn it until it gets tight, then back off a 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

Tighten your spur gear basically. The Slipper is integrated into where the spur gear mounts. There should be a nut on a spring on the motor side of the spur gear. Tighten it a little at a time until the truck behaves properly.

ok thanx..yea i know where the spur gear is but i just didnt know that if i tightened that it would tighten the slipper... but thanx to all so tomorrow i can film , I'm gonna enter the Stellerrc subscribe and submit contest!!!!

Actually, Motogod gives better advice for slipper adjustment. That way you don't flatten out your bellevue washers.

yea ill try what he said to just tighten it a lil bit at a time but one more question, waterproofing, the new revo i have comes with all the water-proof servos, even the reverse one but is the housing around the receiver and optidrive unit enough or should i put a balloon around them? And the motor? What do you do for that?? Just in case i want to run in mud/water/nasty gook!! ahha

Never a bad idea to cover up your rx with a balloon. As for the engine, not sure of anything to do that won't retain all the heat from the cooling head. Plus, you don't want to be sucking in water through your air filter. I'd say its just best to keep your kit out of really wet conditions.

yea, I'm just gonna buy a mini revo for the winter to have fun with in the snow!!! can't wait!! but me and my dad want mini truck for my lhs track.. is the mini slash vxl any good compared to the mini revo vxl??? I like the slash but i dont know how good it is???
