So the other day I was running my truck. I stripped the spur gear out of nowhere. I said, alright, and I went to my LHS that day and got 3 new gears. I put in the first one, checked the mesh and went out running. I ran for about 3 seconds and the new gear stripped. Put in the 2nd one, checked the mesh, and went out again. I got about 10 minutes of running time, and the 2nd new spur gear had stripped. I thought something was up so I went inside and put on the new gear, thouroughly checked the gear mesh and adjusted as needed. Went out, 5 minutes later the gear strips. Now I'm pissed, I just stripped 3 new gears in about 1 hour, which is more than I ever stripped in over 6 months. So yesterday, I went to my LHS and picked up a DX3S and 2 new spur gears. I get around to putting in the telemtry today after school, and I take off the engine to put on the speed sensor, take a look at my engine mount, and a huge chunk is sitting in the chassis. No wonder why i kept stripping gears. So now, I just got back from my LHS and got a new mount, i am going to set up the mount now with a new gear and the telemtry, and go out to run a few tanks. I will report back soon tonight with hopefully good news.
