Just wanted to know from anybody who has upgraded to the 3 speed if the gears were set pretty good from the factory or should i change them from the factory setting before i run it again?

Also i just purchased a hump back battery pack for the receiver and the battery indicator leds on ebay yesterday and was wondering if anybody knew if the charger comes separate or if i can charge it somehow with the tower hobbies charger that i have to charge the rotostart battery?....And what are those two wires with aligator clips on the ends used for on the charger? thanks for any replies....:D

You'll probably just have to run it nad see where the gears are and if they need adjusting. Several variables play into how it shifts(tires/wheels,engine tune and power level etc,) so one setting does not work for all.

Some batts come with chargers others don't, it should have stated in the auction you won. I don't know exactly which charger you have but you most likely can charge the pack with it. The alligator leads are usually for using a 12v battery/power supply to charge a battery while you're out bashing somewhere.

Make damn sure the charger can charge 5 cells. Most simple chargers only do 6-7 cells. It will fry the pack and charger in about 2 minutes if not.

if you have the tower hobies fast charger that you just turn the knob for time and flip the switch for discharge/charge then it will fry the pack. puts too much current into the pack.

yeah thats the charger i have....i have a 1500mah battery for my roto start theat i charge with the tower hobbies charger it wont hurt that battery will it? usually i charge it for about 15 to 20 mins because thats what the charge chart says on the charger....are you saying that the alligator clip ends will burn the batteries up in 2 mins?

its fine for your rotostart battery, but it will burn up the hump pack.
the alligator clips are for you to hook up to a car battery and charge your rc batteries

Read the cell count, very important. Never go over or under what the charger is rated for. Buy you a Dynamite prophet plus charger for 30 bucks new. It will do a better job, be safer and charge both packs properly. It's foolproof.
