Hey Skymaxx

Are you married and if so. How did you get your Savage on the dinner table with out your wife's premission or was she out of the house at time of those pictures :naughty:

She probably wasn't home. My wife used to freak when my brother and I would work on our cars on the dining room table.

My new hybrid. I picked it up yesterday.

It should be fun.

GS Storm Unlimited RTR. It's time for some serious hop-ups.

Whoooo, nice looken ride. (anxiously awaits your impressions)

Nice one Stretch.

For those that asked about the wife, she was home but asleep. She doesn't mind if I work on the table as long as I clean up after myself.

As for the question about where I found the Mugen shocks, I got them at my LHS. I'm fairly certain you can find them online. If I were at home, I'd dig out a couple of links for online stores that carry them.

where did you find the mugen shocks?
i have nova adjustable shock towers so i can adjust my ride height no matter what shocks i get well to an extent i suppose.

I noticed the Nova towers. The problem is that with a short shock (like what sdot23 showed) placed in the lowest hole on the tower, you still are not looking at the best ride height for ground clearance and big air.

I have a set of New Era multi-position towers (not nearly as adjustable as the Nova towers) and find them to be more for looks. Why? I rarely find myself making many adjustments to my suspension. Once I set it, I'm usually happy with it where I set it.

If you are looking for an onroad racer and ride height is not critical, then you should be fine with a set of Nova towers and a set of buggy shocks. If you want to maximize the Nova towers, then stick with Savage sized shocks. Why? You will then get to make use of the multiple positions that the Nova tower allows for.

I dont know much about buggy shocks so can someone point me in the right direction on where and what to buy and why?

i am using the 49T spur and 15T clutch gear

i am thinking about using the 13T clutch gear to get a little more tq out of the hole. the 18T is a little weak in the tq area but makes up for it in the topend while the 15T is a happy medium it might not be with the added grip.

I have these on the way. I few people are using them. They say the handling is night & day will minimal travel lose. I don't do huge jumps so I rather have the better handling.

Id really appreciate it. and also helpful links would be great.
