Well I finaly dumped the money out. Decided on the MGT over the Savage. Gunna run it on sunday. Didnt get the air filter oil so need to do that, hope the hobby close by has some.

Well wish me luck guys, Ill let ya know how it goes. Traded my old Vanning in for a $100.00 of the MGT so I did pretty good i'd say. I'm ready for the Nitro Truckin.

See ya all

Stav

Awesome truck man! You are going to love it. A handful around here are already pounding the hell out of em and liking the results.

Congrats!!!!!

What are the best 1st upgrades I should do. Not real expensive ones but ones I will see the best perfromance from?

So pumped , have to go sign on my new cabin today, all day affair, then back tonight to fire the truck up and play tomorrw. How long does it take to idle 5 tanks through anyways

Ready to rock and roll

IMO, you can't go wrong with an after-market cooling head like the NOVA (something or other).

Thats what I put on mine. It'll keep the running temps cooler. What its allowed me to do is run some of those Escalade type bodies which would normally overheat the engine....

Congrats on your new ride Stav !! I have both the SaVaGe and the MGT, IMO u can't go wrong with either Rig unless u start picking @ details, both have there pros and cons. The only thing i have noticed so far as a weak point are the steering knuckles that i snapped so i replaced em with aluminum ones, other then that i agree with ApriliaRacer, a cooling head improves heat transfer and alsos adds a great look to the mill.I would upgrade the exaust and get a Dual Chamber Pipe, other then that dont upgrade aything unless u break it or have some ca$h to burn and want to started throwing on aluminum. hehe like i plan on doing.
If u have some extra cash i would say go with a set of Integy threaded piggyback shocks. I get mine next Firday, can't wait !
Keep us posted !! your gonna dig the rig !!

can't seem to get it running???

Ok got it running but can't seem to keep it running. Messed with idle just short of wheels turning, backed off the 1/8 turn to lean it out but still wont stay running for too long. Even changed glow plug, thought it helped but then started same thing. Dosent seem to be any bubbles in line.

Any hints.

Should I just idle it in the first few tanks or kind slow throttle up and down to break it in, once I can keep it running that is

Thanks

Stick with just idleing her. Mills are known to stall alot during break in, some more then others.
I idled my mgt for about 7 tanks b4 i started to dial her in just to be on the safeside.

Goodluck and keep us Posted!!

On my 6th tank and it klick ass, runnin like a champ. Curb shot it and tore my muffler exhost, no biggy, elec tape fixed it, seems like thas a new part Ill need.
Ok Note to self
1. New Nova Head, mmmmm good head is hard to find :-)

2. Dual Chamber Pipe, smokin Baby!!!!

3. Digital Temp Gage, $25.00 on line, $40.00 at local hobby, Online looks good

4. Get street tires for school parking lot. Close to house no real jumps but can SCREAM around BIGTIME

5. Lay out Track at Cabin. Till Bushes for jump over Dead log, Long run down drive, High Bank In parking area, reverse and run it again

Damn this MGT is Kick Ass, gotta love it

make sure u locktite all the pin set screws on all the drive shafts. i lost a pin from my driveshaft that goes to the front dif and only had rear whl drive, had to buy the cup with the set screw, just to get the screw Doh.
Double check all the screws B4 its to late!! lol that was my 1st prob with my savage which led to some extensive front end damage, all cause of a loose screw. and now again ! guess I'm learning the hardway
