Hello all I just bought a new HPI Savage x 4.6 from Tower free shipping and $25.00 bucks off couldn't pass that up! What are some of the inherent issues and problems I should look for in this MT I have heard it is a very durable MT though!
Thanks in advance

Make sure all screws are tight. Apparently the guy that build it wanted to go home early and forgot to tighten them all the way...

That's pretty standard. my MGT 3.0 had some lose screws when I got it too!

You may want to consider shimming the diffs.
Is there a "guide" to doing this anywhere or is it pretty cut and dry?

Just remove the screws one at a time and apply some thread lock on them. Also check your gear mesh before you fire it up. I've got two friends that have gone through a couple spur gears. On my XL and both of there's x's the roto start backplate came loose from the lack of locktite. Also follow the break in procedure that hpi uses and you should be fine. All of us used their break in procedure and all of our engines run great.
