Ok here it goes after contimplating getting a traxxas or a savage 25. looked at them both, reseached and then got a savage. Couldn't be happier with my decision. Anyway i just had a couple questions. I know it is an easy upgrade but does anyone know why they make you use the AA batteries instead of just a hump pack? Also i broke a part, being I'm a newbe I'm not sure what its called but if anyone has a manual its on page 23 part #85047 i was just wondering what it is? Where could I get a new on line. And if i could uprade it to aluminum. I know its alot to ask but i would appreciate any information.

Thank you very much.

I guess the reason that they dont put the humppack in there from the get go is that would cost more and they want to be competitive in the market and that is what almost all the other companies do. I would suggest buying a humppack will save a lot of hassel getting the top lid off of the reciever box that thing is a pain.
The part is called a upper a-arm and I have given a few links a tower hobbies of some aluminium and the stock ones. You could also do a search in this forum at the bottom of the page and look up a-arms and see what other people have to say.
Hope this helps
Matt

Thank you very much for the replies. I think that i will just upgrade them because they are stonger and sure do look alot better. Now i just need to pick a color any thoughts??? :]

Aluminum looks pretty nice, but if your gonna be doing any hardcore bashing, I would stick with the plastic. Once the aluminum bends, its bent, the plastic gives and takes and helps take some stress off of other parts.
Just something to think about, either way enjoy.

Good point, maybe because i am still new to this i should go stock just to get more of a feel for it before I upgrade. Is this a part that breaks often or did I just abuse it a little to hard? It was probably my lack of driving skills/eperience. :juggle:
Thanks again for all the help.

You probly just had an unlucky break.

I know I am probly gonna jinx myself, but since I have had my savage for the last month or so, I haven't broken one yet and I have given it quite a bit of hell at the local BMX track.

What got ya? I learned with my last truck to stay away from pavement and especially curbs :normal:

Ok i went to my lhs and was going to get the stock one and just one of them at that. But it turns out he didnt have any so I ended up getting the hardcore racing kit from him. I know i could of ordered it but hey i'd rather be driving. While i have it all apart is there anything else i should do to it? ty
