onboard starting as in onboard battery also conected to ez start and glow plug with a switch or will you burn out plugs ez start motors ect anyone done this?

can i just wire it up myself or do i need the kit? is there a limit to what the ez start motor and glow plug can take as in voltage?

what I would do is if you have an aux channel mount another servo to the maxx and set it up with a servo horn so that when you flip the aux channel switch it engages the ez start button to start the motor! JMO

i was hoping to get rid of the wand thing my thought battery wired to a switch then 4 wires from the switch pos. neg. to the ez start and a pos. to glow plug neg. grounded on block turn switch on start your rig turn switch off when started

what you could do is get a ez start 1, its just a black peice that straps to the batt and everything else is the same! look it up

i've seen something similar done. They had a flat 6 cell pack velcroed to the back and not sure what all was involved but it was a push button start. Same thing as the wand but it was all wired up and on the back of there rig so instead of the wand jack it was the wand button on there. So its not how your talkin about doin it all fro mthe remote but it is alot easier and nicer set up. But IMO if i get to where I'm to lazy to atleast bend over and push a button then i need a new hobby that involves not moving at all!

i checked out the ez start 1 and that would be the way to go. sometimes i just hunt for an upgrade needed or not. just sick of holding on to the wand

My problem with that is that is going to add extra weight to you ride....more weight mean slower performance..breaking ect...

yeah it will work but yo would make a switch..... i bought my truck used without the wand...... so my dad and me had to make a stater thing out of a rc car battery and sum wire and clip

Dude...You are totally missing his point. He Is wanting a REMOTE starter...as in FROM the remote control start. Not a jumper wire... so he would need a relay not a switch unless you are refering to a pico switch. The Dimension Engineering BattleSwitch radio controlled 10A relay should supply plenty of power to a Ez-start and glow plug. then you would have to reduce it down to 1.5 volts for the glow plug. I have one also linked below

dude no i am not.....

i said i made one but..... but you could make it instal on truck.... but u need a switch so you could turn it on and off!!!!!!!!:whhooo::whhooo:

I think you were stating the ridiculously obvious then. How about something helpful like, how it is done or what kind of switch? So smart guy how did you wire in in through your receiver to make it a remote starter? Do tell. Kid that is like someone saying they have a flat tire then you tell then they are going to have to change it. "Here's your sign"

thank you, that was the info i was looking for.... sometimes its a little hard to explain an idea:first_place:

Nope I knew exactly what you were looking for. That would be the easiest way I could think of to do it is with a fat remote picco switch. Split the out-put of the switch off in two directions; one way to the starter motor and the other to the step down for your glow plug. Need any more help let us know...it's what we are here for.
