i was just wondering if the truck is not shifting right will that make it run hotter because it is staying in first to long. the other question is are metal clutch shoes better to have or are the stock material ones better thanks in advance

If it isnt shifting i could cause the temps to be higher but not alot, if it isnt tuned correctly it wont let it shift, i would run the stock shoes until they wore out and them switch to aluminum.

Tuning can effect the shifting some, if your engine is tuned to rich it may not be reaching the RPM it needs to shift correctly. I would say your shift point prob will need adjustment. If your going to switch to an alum clutch shoe I would recommend, a vented clutch bell. I have had good luck with the Integy 7075 clutch shoes . I also had good luck with the MIP clutch's shoes, but the MIP shoe are not alum. :D

ok thanks for the answers guys i will just keep the stock shows in them then and do some more tuning and maybe adjust the shift point some
