Is there a proper technique to jump the tmaxx? I was bashing last weekend and attempted several jumpes but seemed to flip the tmaxx instead. These werent huge jumps at all. I'm guessing about 3-6ft jumps using small dirt hills. I flipped it 3 times and disconnected the exhaust header on one of the flips but other than that nothing broke. I usually just hold the throttle into the jump. Is that the proper way?

I'm just curious but which way is it flipping over? If it was going over backwards it seems like if you gave it throttle while in the air the momentum of the wheels spinning foward would make the front end pull downwards as long as your not over reving the engine or landing it with the throttle way up that would be hard on the drivetrain. I have a maxx and havent had a chance to jump it very much at all, I'm also curious about this. I know with my electric rustler it somtime would nose dive or rear would drop fast so I would tune the shocks with spacers which would make it launch more level and helped with the landings you might want to try that. Good luck

like JESSE G said if you gas it in the air, or use to much gas on takeoff it will flip backwards. if you start to flip backwads then tap the brakes and it should help bring the front end down. monstertrucks are really sensitive in the air because of the big tires. so keep practicing and you will start landing jumps.

Ok to flip a truck, you are fight physics. So what happens is when you mash on the throttle the whole way up you may be stopping yourself from coming around completely. If you rLaunch is not right you may not have the correct start. I have flipped my Old Maxx and never had problems getting it to flip, I actually over rotated. I seemed to get the max in so much spin on the ramp I was using that I had to work the brake to bring the nose down.

How are you failing at flipping? Best thing to do on the coupler is to use more zip ties!!!

one thing is race down the path to your jump and if u do this right u can full throttle and still do a good jump.go as fast as u want and rite before u hit the base of the ramp release the throttle only for a very short time and then when u are on the ramp hit full throttle and u should fly farther and higher. and like I said if u do it rite u will fly it takes practice but when u figure it out it rocks

getting a good quick servo for throttle / brake control is important as well....find a servo that has less than .15 transit speed and around 130in/lbs I found that helped a lot in my Maxxes....in buggies I use even faster ones......not only do I let it coast into the bottom of the jump and punch it on the way to takeoff, I let off the throttle just as I'm leaving the jump as well and then after its on the down side of the air you catch hit the throttle a little before it lands...that keeps the nose up a little.....if you really want to jump get a buggy they whoop ass in the air....
