hi,
thinking of buying a hpi savage 25 rtr
just wondering with the jumbo kongs actually move the truck any reviews or comments would be appreciated

The truck will move with Jumbo Kongs. It will be slower offroad and won't get as much air, but will actually run about the same onroad with perhaps a little more stability as all that weight actually lowers the center of gravity.

Other than that, they look huge.

in the magazine i have a set of kongs are 129.99 with foams and rims..they measure about 8 1/2 inches which is close to the size of the hood on one of my touring car bodies

yeah i've seen big joes, kongs look like a little over doing it, and there a lotta $$
Big joes look very nice though

I got the seven inch tires from HB and I could not believe how much power it took away. It looked cool as hell, but It was so heavy in the front that every time I would jump it would nose dive.

I'm running the ProLine 40 series with the Max Mashers....smaller than the Jumbo's obviously but give the truck a better look than the stockers and way better performance; they have a lot wider stance and lower profile tire gives less edge roll. Be prepared to spend $100 for a set of 4 wheels/tires with the inserts and then be prepared to upgrade to the steel brake kit and digital servo's to handle the additional load the truck will have on it.

Matched up with the Picco .26 the power and hook up is incredible!

Don't bother with the Jumbo's if you are runnin' the stock .21 engine.

I run Jumbo Kongs on my ride, a little piece of advise, if you are going with any bigger tire you definitly want to do the 4 spider mod, otherwise you can look forward to stripped diffs, with the kongs you also want reduced gearing to give you back the low end snort, I'm guessing that you are wanting to do some major off roading with a set of kongs eh? Hope you enjoy which ever set of tires you go with, post a pic after you get em on.

i would have to go with ufos jumbo congs are expensive heavy and on sharp turns you will flip!:hehe:

I've got the jumbo maxx claw dogs w/ sayline rims, nice look, my 25 would pop wheelies w/ those like it was cool, now w/ the .46 truckzilla 8-0 , jumbo maxx's are good to go, not much taller, but alot wider, good traction! good luck.

If you get jumbo kongs, your car will be like the tyco one that can flip over and still run!!Now you just have to somehow fit a body under ur savage and do something to ur tank so that it wont cut out when upside down!:hehe:
