i was wondering about this radio and the xs3 pro....i have heard that you have to use bettery packs in them. is this true? or can you use AA's? how much are they and what do i need besides batteries for the transmitter...like di i have to have a hump pack also??

thanks,
tyler

you can use alkalines in the radio. the radio just loves to eat batteries. that's why rechargeables are more suitable for this radio. it's easier on the wallet

I just got a new XS3 Pro from Ebay for about $200. It came with the reciever and servos. You can use alkalines in it, but there are some rechargables AAs for it. I like it so far!!! Has tons of options on it to mess with.

I would recomend the energizer 2500mah rechargeables for it, I use them and they last a long time and you can buy the charge jack that plugs directly into the radio and use your regular battery charger like my Pulsar to charge it or they make a wall jack that plugs directly into the radio so no more installing batteries or even taking them in or out. I personally love the fact my Pulsar will carge them and peak it to boot.

ok thanks guys thats all i need to know now ll i need is some money to get the darn radio!!

later,
tyler

if your looking to get one cheap, scout out ebay for people selling parted out LST's. most will sell the radio w/o the servos for about 125-150 shipped. one point to remember, JR will warranty the radio for 2 yrs if u buy it thru a hobby shop that gives u a sales slip but no thru an ebay purchase...
