I have a XS3 and I love it. Feel well balanced and has all the features I need. The channel changing capabilties is its best feature.

I have one as well...I find that applying the brake fully is a bit of a reach for me but overall feel is great. Not as many features as some of the regular crystal high end radios but I prolly wouldnt use them anyway. I already have had to swap channels and its great that I can pick just about anyone I want.... I never have to worry about someone being on MY channel.

Another vote for the XS3. I love mine. I have also had to swap channels before when I was running with some friends. With a simple twist of the screwdriver and a quick adjustment on the TX you are good to go.

Also if you have more than one RC you can store up to 6 models. Now I just wish the price of the additional RX's would come down a little. :)

Here is a link if you want to read more about the XS3

I just bought an MBX R2 and the XR3 radio came with it. I would assume it shares a lot of features with the XS3.

I have both the XR3 and the Airtronics M8.
The XR3 has many great features for a mid priced radio. I find the settings difficult to change on the fly and the navigation of the settings to not be intuitive at all. It has all the needed features and more. Its a great mid priced unit.

The M8 on the other hand is a single band unit. You will need to carry extra crystal sets if your with a crowd. The balance and feel of the radio is much better. The computer controls are much easier to set and change on the fly. It also has several more racing functions over the JR if you need them.

Both radios are a great purchase. Pick your price and get one. You wont regret your choice.

From what I have seen and read of both manuals, the XR3 and the XS3 are the exact same radio...same features...same everything. The only difference is that the XS3 is crystal-less.

Here are the manuals:

another vote for the JR - xs3 syth here... for the break issue change the deadband amount.. and u can even speed it up some.

I agree, XS3 is great, and a great price too. robriguez, I put a piece of si fuel hose on the brake side of the trigger for a tighter fit. Tighter is better you know.

Yes tighter IS better... :smoke:

I've been debating whether I can heat the trigger just enough to bend the front side in a bit without melting anything... but your idea may be a bit safer.

dose anyone nows jrracing web site i need the maual for the xr3 or were i can download it thanks

I like my XS3. One peice of advise is to make sure you seal the Rx box well. Dust really messes with my Rx.

Funny you should mention fuel tubing on the trigger. Thats the first thing I did. Quite honestly I don't like the radio and am thinking about selling it. Compared to My M8 its difficult to setup and feels awkward in my hand. It preforms well and is synth but I just don't like it as much as others seem to.

Look at the brake side of the trigger.
