I'm on my 2nd tank for break in on my T-Maxx 2.5. Is it right that its really jerky/twitchy when starting to move ?

Unfortunately that is perfectly normal, due to the reverse set up and reverse clutch in the tranny. The best thing you can do is a forward only conversion, only costs about 10-15 bucks, it will completely eliminate that jerking, and make it take off much better.

Mine never did, and it would never go in reverse when I wanted it to. The Forward Only Conversion (FOC) was so far the best $11.99 I've ever spent in radio control. It also helps the performance a little, as you're removing some weight from the transmission and eliminating a servo.

actually you can mod the forward and reverse clutches in the trans to fix this. i dont know how to do it myself but i read it somewhere on traxxas's forums. something to consider if you are set on keeping reverse.
