that car is insane. i always heard that jay leno had hundreds of sick cars, this must be one of them.

I saw that build on "Rides." It's an incredible build. To top it off a twin turbo on a "one off" crate engine from GM ... I think they're all grunting like Tim Allen. I sure was when I saw the show!

Thats crazy nice.

One day my 64 t-bird will be looking that good.but with out the turbo and only 400 hp that it has now with the 390

ZANDOR, was it you that posted a pic of the Tbird a long time ago? Red?
Another of my favorite classics. When I made my 750 mile move from New York 5 years ago, I parted with my 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix that I had for over 20 years. It was my Sunday cruiser, and had been repainted 3 times in the years I had it. And yeah, I'm still kicking my ass for selling it. I haven't seen one on the road since.

like your taste. 400hp is quite bit for that car...should move out nicely. you givin free rides? sign me up!

personally i dont go for the high hp anymore for myself. maybe I'm getting too old. my current project is a street legal dwarf car with a built gsxr1100 mill and 5:71 rear gears just to keep from burning the clutch on roll-out. not super fast, but it will be a one-of-a-kind when its finished.

speaking of the leno collection- my favorite would have to be the sho-gun ford festiva. dont remember the exact production run, but i think its less than 20 units.

When I bought the bird about 4 or 5 years ago the guy I bought it from father in law rebuilt engines for a living. So he poured the juice to it It does poop and get. There is still alot to do to it but the engine and trans and rear end only have a little more then 750 miles on them.. I don't drive it only in the summer and thats just to the store or to town every now and then.

I was looking for my pics of the bird but can't find them..Ill post them up when my new cam gets here this week

Did you ever see Leno's 20 ft. long nickel (unpainted) car with the 12 cylinder military tank engine? I think it's 3000 HP and 8 tons.
He's also got a motorcycle with a helicopter jet turbine engine in it.
He admits to being the president of "The more money than brains" club.

a camera is on my 'to get' list. as soon as get one you can bet ill be posting pics everywhere on the net. I'm still trying to decide on which body to go with, but I'm leaning toward the truck. can't remember what year but seems like it was a mid 40's body and the company i was dealing with is apparently not offering that body anymore. my cousin builds and races modifieds and offered to duplicate it for me if i need him to. this is a pic i found if anyone doesn't understand what I'm talkin about. its the blue truck...#76**for sale.

all the guys i talk to about this class tell me that I'm spending way too much money. i could move up to these 5th scale "models" and save a lot of money. nah, i like this poop way too much to ever leave.

Personally I dont like the cars looks. But still its very nice. I love the engine and features. Hes pretty lucky.

BTW Flash, Those are basically Legends. Out here where i live they race them about 50 minutes away. Great deal of fun to watch. But they are pricey, If i had the money i'd do it though.

yep. they are legends cars set up for dirt oval. i like the old school look with the fenders removed. gives it a sorta high-boy look.
