So I finally got my Jato up and going, well sort of. When it cranks up it idles for just a very brief second then slowly starts to idle slightly faster and faster for maybe 2 seconds then just shuts off. If I give it alittle throttle it revs like normal but when I stop, it shuts off. I am relatively new to nitros so I know I have alot to learn. Can anyone offer any advice? I bought the truck used so there is no telling what type of abuse it might have gone through. It looks really straight forward and in great shape. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :\

I am going through the same thing. have you tride to adjust the idle screw?? and make sure the fuel lines are tight and not gummed up. and sealing the motor would help alot too.

The fuel lines are clear I do know that. You think I should make sure the cooling head and all engine components are sealed off really good? Ill give that a shot and see what happens, I think it just needs to be tuned but I could be wrong. Like I said, I'm new to this.

Alright so last night I decided to sit down and try to logically address the issues. After coming to the conclusion that it was tuning, I looked up some help topics online. Shortly afterwards, I started the truck and adjusted on the valves and throttle trim (actually knowing what purpose each one served now lol). I finally got the truck to start and run, yeah sure it needs some fine tuning I'm sure but atleast it will run and drive now. It is a blast too, unfortunately my neighbors Rottweiler grabbed it once and now I have a couple of holes in the body but thats not an issue at all. I bought it used and the body was crap anyways. Hopefully tonight I can get it out in an abandoned parking lot and see what I can do.

Good luck with things, hopefully you get it running. This thing is a blast, its crazy fast. I owned a couple traxxas trucks in the past (electric) and their products have definitely improved. Mad props to the designers at traxxas
