Ordered a new Revo today from BocaRc.com.

I plan to keep it stock for the remainder of the year, maybe some RPM arms or a few other hopups and upgrade to a RB TM323 or O.S. .18, etc next year.

Can't wait. :hammer:

I'm with Eddy. I kept mine mainly stock and only upgraded the engine so far. I plan to upgrade as parts break, but nothign has broke so far. I mainly race mine, but it sees it share of desert bashing as well.

Thats why I like this truck, it's great out of the box yet still has a lot of availible options.

Do you guys think I should know anything, I have read the sticky at the top of this forum page.

This is my first MT and i'm curious if I should know any pre-cautions.

Mts can roll easy if you take a turn to fast.
tires and wheels cost ALOT about 100$ for all 4
That is about all

There were some known issues with the first run of Revo's but most of that has been taken care of. The one issue I can think of right now is the shock ends. They (Traxxas) said they have taken care of the problem but I say bull$hit. Get the RD Racing products shock ends, they are like $15. There's a lot of free mods you can do with a dremel. One other I highly recommend is a single steering servo. Even if you just bash, going to a single servo will greatly improve runtimes.

Wow, I think this was #1,000 for me.

I've got one 3-4 weeks ago and I'm loving it!! Its all stock and I've just been hacking/bashing and (touch wood) not one thing has broken! Apart from having to by a rx charger that actually works - I havent had any probs. You'll love it!

Hey, Jet, not to hijack the thread, but could you like to share what servo you prefer to use on your single servo set up and what servo saver/steering arm?

Sure, as long as we don't race against each other! LOL :jk: I am using the JR 650M it runs about $50. I also use the Pro-line aluminum arm for single servo and the heavy duty servo saver spring. I've also done the Slayden steering mods. The RD Quick Turn drive shaft also helps with tight turns since you can "slide" it through the turn.

If I do the servo mod, do I have to purchase anything? What do I need exactly?

I have a Digital laying around, .8/125 oz. should be better than whatever it comes with.

Bump, got my revo, still need an answer for what I need for the single steering servo mod.

First impresion, suspension seems soft, the rear bumper seems really cheap, easily bends.

Other than that it seems okay. I just did a quick overview of the truck.

Just got back from out "Last Blast" weekend event (3rd A Main). That servo may be enough, possibly a little light. Other than that you don't have to buy anything, unless you want the Proline single servo arm, but it's not necessary.
