Hello everyone - I was at the track today and I found a guy with a mugen prospec w/ WS7 II (?) running around. I have a stock mayhem; the shocks are shot and they have no oil in them right now.

Anyway, I run around for a bit and figure I'll do some one on one racing with this guy for fun. So, I run up to him and we start racing and everytime someone washes out too much, we'll slow down to wait for the guy that's behind. We had great fun; did that for 1 1/2 hours with him.

So...why the title? I had to wait for him most of the time; even with my pogo'ing Mayhem. He hasn't learned how to drive that great buggy of his yet...guess it goes to show that it's the driver and not the buggy that wins races for the most part.

Oh one more thing... the WS7 II engine is sweet; great low end power; great top end; it easily smokes my .26 I have in the Mayhem. The mugen steers great too when the driver drives it right :)

a lot of guys i see get some of the good poop before they learn. But every guy i chill with at the track that is like that is having a blast screw trying to beat people they like to beat their cars up ha

yeah....i agree to an extent....but put that same good driver in that mugen....and see what happens:)

Hey I'm a good driver and place at the middle to lower end of the feild when I race...I have an Xray w/ a P-5 and we have all types of RCs at my local tracks....all I know is the guys that run mayhems and most RTR buggies near me can not compete w/ us...and I have a hard time competing against the other guys who run the top shelf stuff.....I have a friggin blast though.....I get the best rush when I took a line that nobody else does and I gain on them....I mean like a jump that ends in a corner and you cut the corner in the air over anothe rlane to gain on guys.....I could care less if I win......I live for those lil rushes and don't take it seriously like it's a job.....Now let me run my truggy and we'll see who win's.......:D

I wish my track was open now....all broward park are being used for tree limb chipping.....and mills pond is in one of them........FARGGING ICEHOLE MARTHA FOCKERS.....

I like my ttrack usaually when there's only the local racers I'm in the top 5-6 in the 1/8th but this past race we had a big end of the year race and I was in the C-Main I mean I prolly could had tooken 2nd or 3rd but I bent a brace on the front of my 9.5 that only allowed me to take 6th

So next year I'm spending alittle extra money and getting Jammined Out with the CR and CRT...

well me and my son were at the track about 2 month's ago, he is 11. i have a prospec and he has a stock mugen, both with ws7II's. i was practicing for a while and then i stopped to let him get some wheel time. he was blasting through these sections i was having problems with, so i was thinking about making some changes, but first i wanted him to drive it so maybe i could tell what it was doing better. He got my prospec and just totally blasted through all the parts i was having prob with, so it was not the setup it was the driver. so after that day he runs the prospec/M11 with DSM and a c5BB by RB mods, he has truly progressed since. Darn Kids LOL

Driven....

I've seen the same thing at our local track, a member with a Hot Bodies buggy clawed his way into the A Main. His buggy was out of the box stock RTR with an RB WS7 II engine. It still ran the standard shock and diff fluids.
