Diesel which spring do you use?(werks clutch)
Also 3/4 out or in from flush?

Flush is the stock setting, start there until your engine is broken in. Then adjust in 1/4-1/3 turn adjustments until you like how it launches. Tighter mean lighter... clutch engages later and allows engine to spool up for agressive launches.

I use the softest spring, I don't remember the color..it's the one you can compress between your fingers and has the thinnest gauge wire.

I have to take the cooling head off in order to mount it in the savage. Anyone know what size screws are holding on the head?
I thought they would be 2.5 but i can't get to bite them. ALso i have heard of people have to do something with the throttle linkage. What do you have to do?
One last one. Is it ok to run a mc 59? its all i got...

the head screws are 3.5X16, I replaced mine with 3.5X15 with hex heads, I didn't like the flat heads.

You might have to turn up the EPA on your radio for the longer travel of the carb. Also need to loosen the set screw on the bottom of the carb and swivel it to line up with your linkage.

What % nitro are you running, the MC59 should be Ok for 20%.

20% odonnel. I plan on getting some mc 8 in the future...

I'm almost ready to fire it up. Diesel did it take you 3 pulls?
I have read from about 20 people "3 yanks and she was purrin".

One more thing, don't forget to heat up the head to loosen it up before you start it, the pullstart cord has a tendency to snap.

The stock screws are flat head screwdriver type, I replaced them with hex heads.

On the first start I think it was 3-4 four pulls, after she warms up , she is good to go in 1 or two yanks.

So will i... I like hex heads better. No i couldnt get ahold of them with a 2.5 alllen....lol

My hex heads did not fit. I will have to order some that do. As far as questions...
IN general those that run odonnel does your pressure line turn green after a couple runs?
The compression on my collari was avarage without the glow plug and filter however with the two it pretty tight. Is anyone else have lots of comppression?

Just my luck the fiddlesticker wont start...
I have been pullin for 15 minutes sdtraight. I am tired of nitros...

No clue. Can you give me yours from stock?
Also i switched from odonnel to traxxas and got it to fire up. My servos arent set up for the engine so when it started it reved at about 1/3 throttle. Scarred the poop out of me. I hit brakes and it died. can't get it started again. Although if i wait 1 minute or so between pulls i can get little blips.

HSN 7.5, LSN 4.5, idle set at 1.5mm. if it doesn't start after five pulls I usually lean out the LSN in small increments until she fires.

Is the traxxas fuel the same nitro % as the odonnell?

I thought odonnell was made by traxxas?!??!

Traxxas is 20% also. I will try the lsn trick. I read that a couple guys that recived them and were tuned all to hell. It keeps flooding on me... I will try the lsn trick!

One last thing to check before you fire her up. Remove the HSN needle housing and check the black plastic fuel nipple. There might be left over flashing from the factory. use a small drill bit the same size of the hole and drill it out. I had the same trouble until I did this.

when you put it back on make sure the hole in the nipple lines up with the holes in the housing.
