So I'm on the 3rd tank of break in now. I had to replace the bulkheads, some steering components and rebend a shock, but I got it in working order now. HOWEVER, there is one odd issue, maybe you fine people can shed some light on.

♣ I realize that the factory calls for a rather rich break-in setting, but I actually have fuel coming OUT of the glow plug threads while it's running, and I'm only getting about 180 on the head temp! Should I lean the thing out, like, a LOT?

not alot, maybe one turn lean. why do you have fuel coming out of the glow plug thread, that needs to be tightened to maintain compression in the cylinder

Yea, good point, maybe it came lose - it was running a tad erradic at idle after a while! *Slaps forehead --- the things you don't think of LOL! However, the thing was SOAKED when I took it out after the run... I mean like I just dipped it into the gas itself haha. Weird...

It's definitely quite rich. Running it very rich like that will cause excessive wear from the sleeve not expanding. Lean it out 1/8th turn until it gets to around 220 and then report back.

OK thanks, I figured that was the deal. I'm on the 3rd tank of break in, which means 1/2 throttle and all that - so the HSN is the rich one, right? :)
