Ok, at the urging of Sky I ended up finishing my .21 3 speed mod. The kit I bought was designed for a .15 engine but I didn't know this prior to buying so being committed I decided to try it. It only took a little coaxing and modifying of everything to get it to fit and as soon as I put the throttle linkages back on I will take it for a test run.

Just tried it and everything worked well. I want to dial it in but it's been so long since Sky has seen it run I figured that I could do that tomorrow between breaks.

Hopefully we'll have video and stills tomorrow. I really like the gear ratio out of the box since I can smoke the tires off the line.

Dude, you better put wings on that thing!
El's gonna have the first flying Maxx! Damn, shoulda thought of that myself!

It does a pretty uncontrolable donut on dry pavement but if you're careful you can spin the tires in donuts too. Hopefully Sky remembers his video camera.

I, too, am interested in seeing this thing run. I saw it prior to it becoming a .21 Maxx. Then I saw it online here as the pancake Maxx a la Beamer. Then I heard it was decommed and replaced by an RS-4.

Since this is happening on my turf...even if I forget the camera, I can go and get it. BUT, I won't forget it. It has been charging since this afternoon.

Well...a little bit of mud and a whole lot of gear grinding brings the mighty .21 three speed to a smoking halt. Dude...you are a little black cloud when it comes to that thing. Maybe you should have stuck with your .15 T-Maxx. I don't remember so many problems with it.

Anyway...we'll have to have a go again in the not so distant future...my T is cleaned up and repaired and ready to go again.
