Is this used Savage a good deal?

It has an upgraded servo thats not plastic like the oem. I couldn't find a better deal anywhere not even Ebay. Plus the guy seems to really know what he is doing and he said it was broken in by the book.

No matter what the seller says unless you've known the person for years you have no way of knowing whether they are telling the truth or all of the facts or not. Everything used you buy you stand at a risk unless you really know the person you are buying from.

There is a risk that the owner did screw something up. It sounds like it could be okay. I would ask the dude lots of questions. For $275 you could buy a new (better) mill for that and be good to go, that is of course assuming nothing else is wrong with it.

Good point on the Q's. Remember it's your money to be a lost cause or the greatest investment you've made. Don't go into it blind, ask.

another thing to take note with - whenever u buy a used RC with a engine in it - assume that it isnt there. a used engine is worth less than 1 dollar in my eyes, unless u personally know the guy u r getting it from. Otherwise - assume the engine is junk, and price the item accordingly.

275 is not a bad price if it includes radio and all.. i bought a davage minus the radio, engine for 160 shipped to me.. spent 42$ on it and had it going with a engine i borrowed from my buggy.. 588$ (including cost of truck) later it is piccoed, had all the nessasary upgrades and will be bash worthy for quite some time..

Hey guys,

I bought a new Savage on ebay for $370 last night.

Thanks, ZACH

Yeah you really should be careful buying from e-bay. I recently purchased a savage on there. The buyer said the car runs fine but just needs to have the carbs adjusted. Turns out it didn't even start. The good thing is though I've narrowed it down to it just being the one-way bearing on the crank. hey at least the engine wasn't siezed!

i agree with Nitroaddict the only stuff i get off ebay is new in box stuff. or something from a seller who has their own ebay store and has lots of good feedback. my nieghbor bought a maxx on ebay and it came with a body that was painted with house paint and every gear in the tranny was stripped. it ran, sort of, just cuz of the friction of all the gears rubbing together
