moring everyone. when i first took nmt to the hobby shop a while back when i got back into the hobby i asked the guy what would happen if i put a .21 tuned pipe and air filter on my .15fe engine? he said that i would have to get some stronger dog bones and a stronger spur gear because all that would brake. is that true?

He most likely thought you wanted to put a .21 engine on your nmt. A .21 header/pipe, & air filter, will not fit correctly on a .15, and will not work.

Yeah, i think he meant the big block engine as well... The header for the .21 wouldnt fit (too big) and the air filter is too big too...

oh ok. and another thing he had some 1/8 scale car that he said is doin around 90mph. he has a .21 engine and a 2 speed. he said he completely rebuilt the engine to the point where nothing on that engine is stock. do you think his car could really do 90mph.

It looks like you have been here for a few months. The best thing to do is to use the search button and research your questions before you ask them. I'm not going to say your questions are stupid but what your asking is all urban legends and have been talked about and beat up MANY times here.

Look for the answers then ask questions about the information you can't find or need clarification on.

no it would not do 90mph ...

it may look & feel like it ....but from all I've read id guess its somewhere in the high 50's
