I wanted to get a fuel filter so I went to my LHS but all they had was one by Great Planes and it says precision fuel filter. Its made of stainless steel and it fits the fuel lines and the connectors are tight do you think this would be ok. You know the old saying better safe then sorry. Thanks

Great Planes wouldnt slap their name on something that sucked IMO. They have a LOT to do with Airplane R.C. which requires more dependability than land R.C. as far as I'm concerned.

Do you have a link to one we can see?

If I recall, this is a longer than normal polished alum one correct?

Fuel filters dont need to be large to do their job.
Look for an arrow on the case to make sure you install it in the proper direction. If it comes apart look to see that the screen or filter element is closest to the engine.

Any fuel filter that doesn't leak is better than none at all.

Yes that filter is a good one.
Install it so the longer part of the cylinder is facing the tank.

Yea thats how I would have uessed to install it. Thanks for the help

It will proubly work but you dont want that big thing on you car. Just get a durbro fuel filter. There only like $2.75. And they will look better let alone work better.....Nick

Good filter, will work just fine. Just watch for air bubbles in the line past the filter. You just want to make certain it doesn't leak.

I use the Great Planes fuel filter with my .21

No problems after a gallon's worth of runnin'

Wrap a couple small zip-ties around it to keep it away from other metal parts. Can't have any noise, that would be bad. (It is aluminum right?)

It's girth (heheh) will help fuel flow should the filter collect enough deposites. Fill your fuel tank right and you won't have to worry about it though.

You say the fuel line fits well, but even a tight fit can come loose. Double-up with the fuel line where they connect too if you haven't already.

Blah...Blah...Blah...
