I just saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3135002153&category=34063 And I can't see what usefullness it serves other than changing the tuning of the pipe a tad. Looks like a heat sink for the exhaust.

Yeap it for real. Its suppose to increase power and save fuel. It only works on one-piece pipes though. I almost got one yesterday but decided to wait on feedback from other people. Looks like you can't go wrong for $20. Let us know if you get it.

Sadly, I probably can't. Remember that incident with the poison oak and my eye? I just got the insurance breakdown and I about crapped myself. To make a long story short, it's gonna cost me about $270 after the ins adjustment. Anyway, I guess this thing is really a choke point that turns the SC pipe into a 2 chamber. The concept is sound, but has anyone run one, or seen one in action? I took the heli pipe of my savage and put the stock one back on. But with the Hyper, I don't think I'll be putting the power trap on. blah, blah, apologies, it's been a pretty crappy day.

Just find a long piece of silicone hose and save yourself the $$$. All it does is increase the length of the pipe, and it is widely known that a longer pipe will give better top end. Remember that you will loose bottom-end if you lengthen the pipe. Short pipe - more low end, long pipe - more high end.

Check out some of the older pix in my galery, I had a pipe off one of my helis on the savage. You're right about pipe length. The one I was running was a 3 chamber, and it was very quiet, and boosted top end quite a bit.

If I remember correctly it's cone shaped inside, just the same as the chamber inside the pipe, so it effectively adds another chamber. Don't know whether it works though!
