Is this a true X SS?

Looks 100% stock. It's the kit without the electronics.
That's the stock Savage pipe on the eBay car.

that's definitely the X SS kit, because i built one earlier this year. However, like ROLEX says, that pipe is from a savage x because the pipe that comes with the X SS kit is chrome aluminum. Another thing: the brake pads must've been swapped out or something because the pink/red ones in the pics aren't the ones that come on the x ss kit. The spur gear is also plastic on the picture. The X SS kit comes with a steel spur. hope this helps. she looks like she's in great shape tho... good luck

Yeah I figure it must be an early X SS, with the different head and all. Or else the engine and pipe were swapped out. Does that look like a K4.6?

I think it is an rtr. Looks like someone put on dirt bonz and threw away the roto start and radio. It's a f4.6 and even the red brake matches that. I want the better one anyway. I was winning until the last few seconds, and now I'm happy. They'll make more!

Those tires are stock with that kit. The pipe was swapped out, I'm pretty sure the fiber glass brake discs are stock.
There's no radio or receiver with the kit, but it should have had the roto start.

Well, regardless of what it was, it's been downgraded to rtr status (IMO) with the f 4.6., pipe and plastic spur. I'm glad I didn't get it, my sweet deal will come along. I still want the flux hp, but maybe next year.

:whhooo: LOL I had to BEG her for a new Dewalt 18 volt drill today as my x-mas gift. It was on sale at Lowes for 99, normally 189, and she's real big on black friday shopping. At least she's careful with what is mostly my money . The living room isn't going get re-modeled with a screwdriver. I would prefer nothing, I like giving at x-mas time, because any other time of year it's all about me! Most of my rc stuff gets smuggled into the house hehe

LOL I am quite familiar with smuggling RC gear into the house. She would kick my tail to the curb if she knew what kind of money i have in it.... O and I highly suggest the FLUX HP buddy. I have one personally, and it's a BLAST! I'm re-doing it over the winter. i'm extending it (making it the size of an XL) and beefing up the tranny a bit. (stripped the drive gear) good luck!
