Well I'm looking to get a new r/c for x-mass and was thinking of gettin a MAXX cause i have a Kyosho Ultima ST buggy and its just way too small for what i want to do the terrain I'm bashing on and such and i need more power too but i was just wondering if the t-maxx is a good choice or if i should keep on looking i dont want ask for one thats any more than 400 so this looks like a good choice to me i was also looking at the Savage but looked up some info and decided the maxx was a better choice

I have a Maxx and love it. Tons of upgrades available. You really can't go wrong with the Maxx or the Savage.

I love my maxx. U can't go wrong with the Maxx or the Savage. Both have an array of hop-ups. Both are very reliable.

i love my supermaxx!! u can go and get some really nice maxx's off of ebay for like $350-$400

Both the Maxx and Savage are good but out of the box the Savage is better for bashing and jumping.

ok just wanna under stand the forward and reverse thing alls yopu do is switch to channel 3 and use the regular throttle and it will go in reverse is that correct?? and also i will be swapping my airtronics MX-3 transmitter and reciever to the maxx IF i get it but i have no clue how to change the channels on this TX i just got it like 3 weeks ago and it doesn't say how to switch channels in the manual and it is a 3 channel TX do answers for both question would be nice

I agree 100% that the Savage is much tougher out of the box (most every damn Traxxas car needs serious hop-ups to have real fun). The Orginal Savage .21 had allot of issues that needed to be addressed and they have been for the most part. The new Savage .25 RTR and the Savage SS kit are pretty kick ass. If you get a Savage, just make sure it doesn't have the "backplate" issue and if it does make sure you remedy it.

When they're both hoped up though, The T-maxx is superior IMHO as it has the better inherint design and better steering/turning radius that makes it a better performer and especially when doing serious racing.

Their's a freaking plethora of aftermarket parts and support for the Savage and especially the T-maxx. It's almost insane when you think about it (hehe), you can easily drop two grand+ on hop-ups to make it a truly mean freaking machine. I

Man I love my Maxx

i agree the maxx does need alot of hopups 2 compete with the savage but hey u gotta love it and it has less power then the savages but the maxx comes with a *waranty* i dont kno about the HPI:bandit:
