is the savege x good for racing

i was going to buy the hpi firestorm, then the rc10 gt2 (turns out that i didnt accidently buy it) but the savage x has cought my eye, and with the easy pay feature through tower hobbies it is in my budget. i want to race with it thats why i wanted a stadium truck but i also want something durable and i might bash a little. how does the savage x race? (medium length track With jumps)

With LCG tvps,hpi big bore shocks,steering knuckle mod,wing,better steering servo and some good race tires YES.

But in stock form no.

If you want to race, I'd say go with a Revo. It's not AS durable as a savage, but it's still quite durable, and has more racing capabilities.

I have both a revo and savage I would go with the revo for racing savage likes to roll over around sharp turns and the revo corners better if you like racing look into the hpi hellfire this thing kicks butt has low ground clearance and will smoke my savage plus its four wheel drive

The best way is to mod a Jammin CRT sway bar setup. You need a really thin front sway bar to not kill the low speed turn in.
Copied from Savage-Central, pay no attention to the first hack job, the one at the bottom of the first page is the ticket. use music wire in different thickness to achieve your desired results. Once you get it right they handle just as good as LST2 trucks with Sway Bars. You'll need rear tie-rod eliminator hubs. They are cheap, about 20 bucks a pair.
