i just bought the stuff at my lhs and i just wanted to nkow if this stuff is any good:dance:

i have a savage .21 and i buy blue thunder and it works fine never had any problems. by the way its 20%

I use it and I really like it. I have burned probably 2.5 gallons of that fuel through different engines and it works great. Lots of fuels work great though. I chose this fuel because it is stocked locally. If I could I would buy Odonnel.

Blue Thunder is my fuel of choice. I use 20% and have run it through several engines with great results.

If your LHS has it in great supply, then you should be golden. If not, use what you got and then get something that is easy for you to acquire...steady supply is always a good thing.

that fuel is very good, i loved it when i ran it and i would get it again. but the lhs dont supply it anymore. so now i run o'donnell and i think it is just the same.

I can't believe someone hasn't craped on this thread yet.
If someone dislikes BT fuel please give a reason and supporting facts.

I have used BT fuel for several years and NEVER had an issue with it. 20% for bashing and 30% for racing.

I recently changed over to Traxxas Top Fuel due to a shortage on BT about 8 months ago. I like TTF as well. I don't get the HP that I did with BT due to the lubrication package delivering more oil but the up side is it runs cool and is just a bit more forgiving in regards to tuning.

You guys talking about "Smurf Juice"?? (thats what they call it at my LHS...

I know a couple guys there that use it...they all swear by it... I personally use Trinity Race Formula 20%.

I used to use Blue thunder on my truck and ran like 1 tank.. then I switched over to Trinity Monster & Platinum... gives a little more UMPH... but never had a problem with it.. just notice Tinity runs better..

smurf juice is da bomb
you guys noticed they changed to 20% "Sport Formula" and then they have the 30% race? the guy at my LHS says that the sport formula is basicly the same as the old 20% but it has some new additive that he claims is a lubricant up to a certain temp then once it exceeds that temp it turns combustable. So he says that if you are running too lean and temps get to high the additive starts combusting and causes the engine to stall. (too prevent over heating) any one know if this is true?

I was yelled at in the Traxxas forum by OQ for using BT LOL

difference between BT race and sport is the amount ratio of Synthetic to Castor oil is reversed. I don't know what that ratio is (trade secret).

I have burned at least a gallon of 20% Racing Formula BT through my new Savage 25. No problems.

There is no mixing oil with the BT is there? My LHS has a guy that knows RC, but you have to be lucky to catch him there. They are more into crafts over there. So I can't really ask his advice.
