I'm gettin a savage ss and i dont know if i should get a reverse mod and spend an extra 100 bucks on that and a 3 channel radio ?

First thing to ask yourself is "How often do you really plan on drive backwards?" hmm I'd say not very much. I have a Savage and I have never really seen a time that I needed the reverse. I also have a Tmaxx which comes with reverse and I ended up removing the reverse in the end. Which cost me to do. The extra cost for the module is not worth it. Take the money you would have used on the module and put it into a good radio or other hop-ups

I agree, I have a t-maxx for 2 seasons now and the only time i have to use reverse if I'm stuck on something in the backyard. Most times its a few steps away. If you racing on a track reverse is usually not allowed because you can crash into another driver.

I think i will be removing my reverse to lighten up and also to use my 2 CH JR radio that came with me Losi XXX-NT.

Well personally I love having reverse. I don't use it that much but it's a blessing when the truck gets stuck. I hate running over to it to get the sucker turned around. Seems like it takes forever to get there!

Reverse is cool sometimes, like when you're stuck, or sitting on the rear bumper (nose up, and yes it does happen). But it's really cool to do some trick stunts, like going over jumps backwards, doing bootlegger reverses or parallel parking. I have one, have used it, use it less each day, but it is nice. But, there are other mnore important hop ups that might be better for now, like a picco 26, a good airfilter, better rims, and other performance thingamabobs. It's all preferance. Chances are, if you're running a 25 in the SS, your track might not allow it, but I could be wrong on that. I just know that I can't run mine with the picco at the local track and be legal.

lol, I did something today that really turned heads. Wheelies in reverse. That's right, not your typical ooo, ahhhh, wheelie, but a holy crap, did you see that, reverse wheelie. And not just one, but many on demand. I know it's gonna fry the reverseing gear, but I'll just whip that one out on special occations.
