so today me and a buddy took out my revo...at first it ran a little sluggish but after some tuning i finally got it running well...but the idle was high...so i ltook off the air cleaner to adjust the gap and got a call right as i got through with it...when i came back i foolishily forgot to reconect the air cleaner and ran the truck for about 10 minutes before i noticed what i had done...i stopped the truck and put it back on then we left to go to a parking lot with lights....when we tried to start it it would start but immediatly quit...it would run for like to seconds....i tried putting the needles back to factory specs low needle flush and high needle 4 turns out from all the way in....this gave me the same results...it would uit in 2 secs...it seems to still have compression....i can turn it over with my finger but its really tough...changed the glow plug but still no good.....so did i screw my engine???and if not what can i do to get it running

edit: there is fuel comeing from the exhaust when i try to strt it.....i figure that mean its way rich but which needle???

The carb's probably dirty. I'd clean it and start at factory settings. Cleaning the whole engine would be the safest thing to do.

how hard is it to dissassemble the engine and carb...

Not very hard at all. Just pop the back plate and head off. Rinse the engine and parts in fresh fuel. Take the needles out of your carb and rinse the carb good. Blow the needle holes out with compressed air. Use green slime when you re-install the needles. Copper, high-temp, sensor-safe rtv on the carb, back plate and header. Depending on how old the engine is, you may want to consider going all the way and changing the bearings.

ok thanks man....well the engine has had about 2 1/2 quarts of fuel through it so its not old at all...i just can't believe i did that...that what gettin in a hurry does for you everytime....ill break into it when i get home after work....does anyone know if there is a walk through or break down anywhere for the motor and carb.....

few questions if you don't care to help me out....when i take out the needles...do i just screw the all the way out and they come out....
what is the green slime you speak of....never heard of it...

Green Slime is similar to a petroleum jelly in consistency. It's used to help seal things that need to move, such as carb needles and shock shafts.

hey man so i took my needles out and now i can't get the highspeed needle to start back in....like the threads won't catch or something...any idea??

Make sure you put some lube on your o-rings before you put the needles back in so you don't tear the o-ring.

Also, I would suggest watching a few videos on youtube on disassembeling a nitro engine and sealing a nitro engine. they were really helpful to me.
