Thinkin about takin my reverse out . Coz never really use it. Read somewere that it decreases rotational mass and gives you more power . Do i just have to take a gear out or something . And wat are the pro's and cons . Thanks for any info .

you end up taking out about 5 gears and some other miscellaneous parts. yes it does give more positive engagement to the transmission because it is locked in to forward all the time. well worth the money and doesn't take much time to install.

The only con I've seen is you dont have reverse :)

Hmmm are you able to do it your self . Is it quite hard. Lol yer not fussd bout having a reverse .

It is easy, takes a couple of hours, way more power...make sure your new wheelie bar is working well though, it will definately want to flip on you then. Well worth the 12 bucks that I have spent on it. And who cares about reverse anyhow! I really like my maxx with it in, way more reliable too, and no more lurching forward.

Yeah you can install it yourself. The directions are a little confusing though. Not having reverse for what it does for the strength of the transmission and the little increase in performance is well worth it.

I installed it in my Tmaxx from 10 years ago when I had the .21 conversion on it and never broke the transmission. I used the Robinson Racing FOC or RRP.. Thats pretty sad to say I've been out of the hobby for 10 years :)

Yer the Custom Wheelie bar is working surpriSingly well lol . I've got to to get some new wheels and tyres so might get a proper Wheelie bar then just incase this one goes bye bye . Yer i hate clunk and lurch forward wen you shift forward and back . Doesn't sound too good. My lhs can get next day delivery on Traxxas parts so might give them a tinker tomoro .

10 years . How have you coped . I can't go a day without doing something to my t maxx . Even if its just to unlock the shed and look at it to make sure its still there lol .

had too much money in them, was good to get a break...lol

I dont have any problems with my reverse in mine. I did take it back out of my 3.3 though. I will put it back in when I put different drive shafts in it. reverse does come in handy when you need it.. You do notice it when it is gone even if you dont use it that often.... well thats just my opinion but the only time it really changes anything is if you have a different teeth ratio..

With the reverse in mine, more than half of the time when I would flick the switch into reverse, it would very slowly engage. When I would try to put it back into forward, it would stay in reverse!! Then I would have to try to force it back into the forward gear and keep flicking the switch back and forth until it engaged the forward gear. What a pain. IMO. For the added bennys of having FOC, I would rather just run across the field once in a blue moon to turn the maxx around.

It doesn't work for some people and some it does I can't say cause I like mine that everybody does. for the shifting problems... The idle mighta been to high, slipper clutch to tight, and a stronger sevo helps sometimes.. Out of all my nitros in the house only 1 has reverse at the moment and it stays l.o.l I just bash alittle different with the no reverse ones than the maxx that does have it or the electrics.... It really depends on your driving style and how much room you have.. Half the fun of the hobby is how to make certin things better and more personal..
