You know what,...... darn it all, just as I packed it away and stripped it clean of batteries, the next day, of course with my luck, bone dry everywhere! :trout: :whip:

F it, I'm taking it for a spin.

1% batteries
99% inspiration

Ouch:depress: Jesus, harsh people, I just wanted to have some convo and some fun, I didn't know people would reply in here to rag on my parade.

I can say from experience what water in the receiver can do. I was running RC boats and the receiver got abit wet. The next thing I had was a run away RC boat with no control what so ever. The throttle had gone wide open doing about 30mph and heading in toward the shore line. That was the only good thing was it glicked and caused it to face the shore. It was a K&B 7.5cc outboard, so the long fin dug into the gravel shore and stopped the boat from slamming on to the shore and possibly hitting the rocks. The sand and gravel that was pushed from behind the boat was dug about 5-6feet from the prop. From that experience I then made it a point to waterproof my electronics.

Yeah, man, that's brutal. You have my sympathies there but, sometimes you only learn if and when you make a mistake. Well, now you know better, but, that must have pissed you off pretty bad.

Well it never really pissed me off as I was more worried that there may have been damge to the receiver or even worse to the engine. But it was a eye opener alright.

Sorry Losi. I'm not raggin' on ya. I left out the :jk: by accident.

This post seem to have its question answered and I had nothing constructive to add except for possibly a modicum of some witty banter.

:)

Anyway... a certain degree of waterproofing proportional to the dampness of the running environment is always a good idea.

Oh yeah... if anybody takes it as far as snorkels I wanna see a picture.
