My savage X SS has a currrrrr noise when under acceleration and deceleration my gears are new do they need to "mesh" alittle or break into each other? My spur is 47tooth and clutch bell is 15 tooth have been out of the game for 4+ years never remember my Ofna buggy or TNX having any drive noise i only ran about 3/4 of a tank through it was kinda nervous about the noise so i dumped the tank and ran the rest of the fuel outta the motor

I can't say for sure from your description, but it kinda sounds like your mesh is set too tight. If you hold the clutchbell still, the spur should be able to wiggle back and forth very slightly. You can also do the paper check. Use a thin slice of paper and rotate it through the gears. It should come out without ripping and leave a crisp stair-step in the paper.

Well i think one tank was to much reset mesh remind you i swapped the 17 tooth with a 14 tooth because i put a .25 in my x for the winter end result was a torn up clutch bell it was a cheap heavy duty bell looked like the teeth just rolled over never really stripped out now i got a vented hardened racing bell on it 15 tooth got it meshed up got the truck running to find out my carb was seized got that fixed them my rechargeable glow heater took a crap and i dont have a backup something keeps telling me i should have never started tinkering with rc's again lmao waiting to for the heater to charge and see what goes wrong next lol

Ran great good temps idled good but still can't get any wheelies out of it and best of all clutch bell looks brand new
