I've been doing research as I always do, and stumbled upon the exceed rc mad code nitro. It looked amazing! My question is, do any of you have personal experience with exceed vehicles? If so are they any good?

I just figured out after I posted the thread that the exceed mad code is all out of stock! The only one I could manage to find was the electric one sold on ebay. I should have checked before posting this thread. Silly me! But on the other hand the vehicle looked legit!. It had aluminum big bore oil filled shocks, aluminum chassis, the list goes on. If you see any mad codes for sale tell me. :)

I have an Exceed Mad Beast 1/8 scale Nitro Truck. I like it. Break-in went smooth and the truck runs good. Only issue is the steering servo is a little glitchy. Not bad enough to worry about. Got it from NitroRCX. They show the Mad Code Nitro is out of stock, you might want to keep checking.

Most exceeds are a rebranded HSP Racing vehicles. The 1/10th scales are okay as long as you keep them brushed.

I've wanted to get a Mad Beast for a long time, I just could never pull the trigger on one.

While we are talking about nitro rc, I've been eyeballing the Ftx torro as a beginner nitro sct. The price is cheap, and it's from a brand I've never heard of but the specs don't lie, but like the mad code their is not a lot in stock though.

FTX is about similar quality to exceed from what i have read. do make sure to go over all the screws to make sure they are all tight enough, and brake in properly.
the price is decent, but i think id go with redcat/exceed at that point as you can get parts pretty easily, and lots of upgrades available. (do not get aluminum a-arms though)

I just read a post from the Traxxas forums saying aluminum a-arms transfer the energy from a crash or a hit to other more expensive parts of the vehicle, and they recommend buying rpm a-arms instead (Thanks for the heads up).

yup, RPM is the best because it flexes more, protecting chassis components. they do have a warranty as well.
for bashing, RPM is best, Stock plastic is better, graphite is ok, and Aluminum is not good.

I've had my Mad Beast (Brushless) for almost 2 years and the only thing that I've had to replace was the original semi truck body. I've obviously purchased a new body and added lights as you can see in the photos and have a regular truck body I use when I'm bashing and jumping. I've put this thing through hell and it came back with the devils autograph.lol I don't know about Exceeds other products but the Mad Beast has been every bit as solid as my ARRMA Granite BLX and Kraton.
