Got mine from a local buddy for a great price. Jailbroke it within 15 minutes of getting it, have had no problems at all with it. It has been amazing. Such a HUGE upgrade from the 3g. Faster than any of my buddies I've seen.

My buddies could be a lemon I guess, I do see alot of refurbed ones for sale so obviously some are rotten, lol. Good to hear you guys are still diggin yours.

To bad I can't just renew my contract and get the low cost again...

Even though its old now, hows the Iphone 3gs?

I talked to a couple more people locally that also dont like the iphone 4, both of them said they wish they would have kept their 3gs. They both said, same with my buddy, that they have real shotty reception with the 4 but didnt have trouble with the 3....3's cheaper too :D

I had spotty reception at first, and bad battery life, but downloaded some patch, and it works fine now. Much better than my 3G

Ok thanks for the input. I'm glad I did some research though because the 3gs is a downgrade from my torch. So I'm gonna look at the 4 or a captivate...

I love my iphone4 the only thing I have encountered is its went black twice and wouldnt respond but I held the power/lock button and home button for about 10-15 seconds and it rebooted and was fine.

The 3gs is good. I just bought my girlfriend one cause they are only like 140 out the door with a new contract. It works just as good. Only things I notice is no flash on the camera, lower visual quality in the camera and screen. Plus the glass is more easily broken.

Since I got my iPhone 4, there have been 2 OS upgrades put out by Apple and I have done them both.

I make it a habit to sync with iTunes at least once a week for App updates.

Not liking your Torch?

Oh I love it, everything about is awesome, everything. But I get bored during thhe winter lol so I just wanna try a new one. I'll stil have my torch if I don't really like it.

You could try this during the winter if you're bored. :hehe::p:

droidx is for verizon though right?

My wife and I both have the iPhone 3Gs, and we are planning on upgrading, but we are waiting for the 4g to come out. With the rate of one new model per year, it should be out when we are ready to get new phones.

The only things I don't like about the 3Gs are the lack of the ability to play Flash video, and the lack of the camera flash. Otherwise, I love it, and I can do without the flash video. I can just dl a flash video and play it via the VLC app, that btw has now been pulled from the App Store.

The iPhone4 for is the next gen of iPhone after the 3GS.

Apple doesn't like flash because Adobe wants to break further into the OS than Apple wants anyone and Apple is afraid that it will cut down on the small battery life.

After most of the day reading reviews and "vs." stuff of the Captivate vs the iphone4 and vs the Torch, I pulled the trigger on the captivate.
