I know there have been a couple of threads on people's frankenstein version of a twin engine Savage with custom parts, BUT...I stumbled upon this kit at New Era Models. I'm not sure the price tag is worth it, but it certainly brings an interesting option to those who want more power...

Here's one from this site:

Just for comparison sake.

I remember someone who posted here with a twin four stroke frankenstein of a Maxx. He had some video and everything. Was pretty cool.

Hey Eddy, do you think If I just picked up the .40 mounts I could make them work on the Cyber? (I seen I would need the exhaust too)

Sky - that new era kick looks pretty awesome! Darth is going to flip when he sees that purple beast!

I'm still trying to figure out what the performance bennefit is of a dual engine setup. Aside from the bling bling :bling:

I'm not certain there is any gain in perfomance other than more off the line performance...better torque. Guess I'd have to take a look at the whole gearing thing and see what running two drives onto one at the same rpm gains you. Intuitively speaking...nothing, but I guess I'll have to look closer.

Oh Yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about. P U R P L E . Frickin sweet.
I have just about decided on dumping my T-Maxx for a Savage SS. What do you think??

The twin big blocks look pretty sweet on the Savage. I never really gave much thought to the same RPM factor. Since each engine is doing half the work, I suppose you could buy a spur gear with fewer teeth and clutch bells with more teeth. That would improve top speed and take advantage of the extra torque. 75mph savage anyone?
