hello, i have just botten a pair of Integy MSR4 Piggy Back shocks. they are the coolest. anywayz, i was wondering what shock oil and some of the springs u guys run with urs. i saw that Fast Eddy had i think the trinity springs in his. i want a harder spring because the ones that come with them arent as strong as i would like them too be.

bryan

I am using the trinity blue springs and 45wt oil.
These shocks are great. They preform as good as my Lios/Dynamite shocks but last 4-5 times longer between rebuilds.

After you build and install them, run them for a few days then top off the fluid again. The bobbins inside will have saturated with oil and left air in the system.

alright then, do u know of a place where i can get those springs at?

So the integy's are pretty good! I saw some poeple say that they leaked some. Guess not!!! The integey's are pretty cheap to.

yeah i know, they are the best ones that i have owned so far

Great info guys. That was the first hop-up I put on my TRX 2.5.
I find the ride with the standard springs a little soft with 50wt oil and the default piston.
As a workaround, I'm tempted to slap the standard T-MAXX red springs in to harden them up a little until I follow FastEddy's lead and get a set of Trinity blue springs.

For the weight of my Maxx I went with the Trinity Black springs and 70 weight oil. Gave me the boom factor I was looking for for jumping.

Dont forget, Eddy races ;)

are the black springs stronger than the trinity blue springs?

bryan

I'm currently testing the RC Raven Adjustable rate springs.
The blue work good with 45 wt for a small track with decent size jumps. You may want to consider 55-70 wt for jumping and bashing.

The Trinity springs fit a wider shock like the stock Traxxas. Before I sound like a shock expert, I got all this from Sky. The stock Maxx shock is wider but I bought Associated's aluminum shock set which are narrower. To fit the springs I used BOTH shock collars nested inside one another at the top, and then the stock spring cup at the bottom.

...never mind...
