i have the integy msr2 shocks on my t-maxx and they keep leaking from the top of the caps (where the plastic part of the cap and the alum part of the cap attach). you think that they would make the caps one solid alum piece??? if anybody knows what i'm talking about and/or has the same problem, please fill me in on how fix this problem because it surely is frustrating to spend $70 on some shock that keep leaking!

actually, the shocks are the MSR4's but without the piggy backs.

i have the MSR4's and i have not had any problems with them. they are the best shocks that i have had yet. maybe u should try and tighten the cap on!?!?!?!

Hmmm.
1) Make sure the bladder is seated correctly before tightening the cap.
2) Tighten the cap down as much as you can with fingers only. That is how I did it and no problems.
3) Whie bleeding the shocks some oil will get past the bladder and into the shock cap. This oil will slowly leak out during shock use until its gone. This happened to me on 2 of 8 shocks. A way to tell if oil is leaking is that you will start to hear air bubbles inside the shock while moving the piston up and down.

Hope this helps some.

thanks darth, so far no more leaks after a few runs. i think my problem was that i was over tightening the cap which made the bladder pop out of place and consequently made the top part (plastic part) of the cap drop down. i guess using a wrench to tighten the caps was a little excessive. live and learn! finger tight is just right...

Cool! Nice to know I can help once in a while. They are nice shocks once you get past those caps. If I had $$ to blow I'd get the piggy back resivoirs for the bling bling effect. Maybe over the winter downtime....:fro:
