I was trying to install a new replacement 2055 stock servo on my Tmaxx last night, got it installed, and when I powered it up, the wheels cranked to the left right away, that is I couldnt get the servo centered. Also, the steering is reversed, left turns right, right turns left. I reset the trim to "0", and that didnt really help anything. The batterries are fully charged. I tried to search for this, but couldnt come up with much, although I'm sure this has been talked about before.

Any suggestions, I havnt had to replace this servo before, and I am kinda stumped. I was thinking that I might have to try a different port.

Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

you should be able the reverse the servo either by a switch on your transmitter or in the programming menu ( depends on which radio you have ) .....

you have to center your servo before you install the horn on it ...that may be your problem

I have the old 27mhz TQ3 transmitter. I figured I should be able to reverse somehow. I tried to center the servo before installing on the horn, but as soon as I turned on the transmitter and truck, it snapped to the left.

So all you have to do to center the servo is to set the trim to 0 before turning on the tx/rx and straighten the wheels? then install servo horn?

both the transmitter and receiver have to be switched ON before you can install the servo horn, set the transmitter trim to center then center the wheels and install the horn

Ok, sounds simple enough! I will try this. I think I tried to install with everything turned OFF.

I got the servo installed, and now I noticed that I have it installed in the opposite position than the old one was installed. In other words, the servo horn was originally facing to the rear of the truck and now I have it facing to the front of the truck.

Does it matter what position it is installed in? it still works and seems as though it will do its job.

If you look at pics of the classic maxx on the traxxas site, they show the servo facing to the rear of the truck. Its not like it is hard to move it, I'm just wondering if it makes a difference.

Pic of maxx with old servo in original position.
