This post certainly took off... You guys mention some excellent points. I haven't had the truck very long and I haven't raced it. I've tuned on the rich side intentionally as I haven't had any idea how hot it was running. I figure if I borrow the Raytek from work and use it alongside the RS model I'll have a good reference point to be able to use the RS with a high "degree" of confidence.

I had my RS temp gun hit 430 degrees but dont ask how that happened and yes it was a R/C motor, lol :doh:
