and i want to instal a 2 speed trans but i not shur of the necessity of that i dont know if it's make a good differance and how about the durability hpi said is just for road application and i use my truck everywhere

scuse for my english:opps:

i dont make competition i play on my own track with my freinds

hey how are ya?
what do you mean by forward trans the mt is a foward only rig.
the 2 speed kit to up to you? if you want to off roading put a peice of lexan where the gears show under the truck to help prevent any damage. when i get mine i will most of the time be off roading. as for the the air filter i guess if you can fir it on go a head but get a second opinon because I'm not 100 percent sure.

The mt1 standard engine is a .15. Typically the .21 filters have a much larger diameter tube. But, if you can get the tube to fit your carburetor without it faling off after jumps then do it. Any filter is better than running no filter. But there really isnt any performance gain by going with a larger one.

The 2-Speed transmission is meant for top speed not low speed power. If you run your truck in the dirt alot there is a chance you may overheat the engine and wear out the clutch faster. Its would be like driving your regular 1:1 car starting in 2rd gear. Yes you could do it, but it would make it hard for the car to get going. But once you got going, you would be going very fast.

I'm not sure what you mean by Forward only. Please explain and I will be happy to help.

Welcome to the site.

I have a first generation MT with a 2-speed tranny. If you plan on running more off road than on, save yourself the the headaches and stick with the stock spur. It won't matter how much Lexan you put around that thing, it will shear gear teeth off very easily if it gets bumped around a lot. My MT is primarily on road only, which is why I went with the 2-speed. Trust me, man, I've flipped many 2-speed spur gears out because they get chewed easily. If you decide to go with it, you're going to have to be very careful with the gear mesh with the CB.

Forward only, like the others, not sure what you mean.

Air filter, go with what Rob mentions.

Good luck!

scuse my mistake i want to said backward transmission for the fil it was because the snow block sometime the filter i think a bigger filter can be better
