This info may be helpful to you, good luck!

The Inferno MP7.5 Sports and RTR version features refinements based on thorough research, testing and feedback from World Championship winning Kyosho Works drivers and its based heavily on the World Championship winning car, sharing many of its key features.

The beauty of the Sports is that it’s supplied with the transmission parts already pre-assembled (on the RTR Version the complete model is assembled with preinstalled radio) so built time is drastically cut. A Kyosho GS21R engine is supplied on the Sports while a GX21 is installed on the RTR version of the Sports, both have a recoil starter for easier usage and less items to transport. Its supplied with specialy designed manifold for the car as also an aluminum exhaust pipe. The included bode shell is the same as the competition machine (on the RTR is pre-painted with the stickers applied) as also the rear wing and wheels. High grip multi pin spike tires complete the package on which in the RTR version they are also glued.

Length: 469mm
Weight(approx): 3200gr

Width: 307mm
Min Ground Clearance: 28mm

Track (Fr/R) 323-328mm
Tires (Fr/R): 116x42mm

Sports Engine GS21R
Sports RTR Engine GX21

Wheelbase 258mm
Gear Ratio: 1.7:1

Heres a great list of option parts fot that car.

I was reading an article in the tub just two days ago, they tested the car and also brought in a pro to test it. Over all they were very happy with the car. Their biggest complaint was the shocks (bent 4 shock shafts during the test session) and shock towers.
So with a little after market (or some Kanai components) it would probably make it a pretty good package.

The only complaints i've heard about this car was the shock towers and the weak chassis...
the rest was just as good as a normal MP7.5.
Thats what i've heard about it...

I think it is a good buggy. My friend byran has one just drove with him today had a blast. I have the hb lightning rtr. It is about the same thing as the inferno. It is a great buggy though.....Nick

I am thinking about gettingthis as my first time buggy.
Since the last post was a few months ago, those that own this buggy, what are your thoughts now about it? Has it held up for the past 6 months?

yeah.. those things are the problems that my buddy had.. the new sports has a different motor.. but same deal with diffs.. and gears.. and stuff like that.. not sure bout the flywheel and everything..

Remember guys... he said the SPORTS not the standard 7.5 or Kanai...

My list of upgrades:
Until I replaced all of this I was breaking parts every bash as Team said.

Front CVDs (missing pin on one dogbone and 2 broken outer drive cups)
13t STEEL Spur gear instead of stock 15t plastic (gs21 engine does not have enough low end for 15t)
Front and Rear Alum Chassis Braces (stock does not come with fron brace)
Rear Alum chassis brace mount (where it connectes to the wing support)
Team Bluestar Front/Rear alum shock towers (bent 1 rear and 2 front on bad landings)
K2 Front Shocks (3.5 mm) --stock front/rear are only 2.5 i beleive--
Ofna 9.5 threaded Rear Shocks (3.5mm) --bent 5 shock shafts, none since upgrade--
Titanium hingpins all around (stock steel were bent causing suspensions to bind)
Titanium adjustable front turnbuckles (stock are not adjustable)
New Tires (RTR tires do not come with Foam inserts)
3 Shoe teflon Clutch rather than 2 shoe alum (later upgraded to fironi sliding clutch)

Last but not least will be the engine, header, pipe, engine mounts, and spacers. The GX21 I have in there now allows for great fun but just is not competitive.

don't you mean more along the lines of a 49 tooth or around there? 13 and 15 would be CB's...

My bad.... DUH.... I'm tired..

Upgraded the plastic 49T spur to a STEEL 49T one.
ALSO
Change the CB to a 13t hardened steel....
