You need to look it over and check the following: glow plug glows. Fuel getting to the carb. Lines not clogged. Exhaust is not plugged. Glow warmer freshly charged. Carb gap is set factory rec. setting. Throttle servo is opening and closing the carb correctly. If you're new to the hobby then Youtube will be your friend.

in need of help

I checked the plug it gets red but not all the way to the tip. It gets fuel but I dont know about if its good or not. Is it supposed to smell like gasoline? the throttle servo is fine it opens and closes like its supposed to. It only makes a noise from the muffler like pum pum pum pum.

also i got it from a friend so i dont know the factory settings. also when he gave it to me he had the controller messed up and the carburator and the other hose was mixed up and i set it up myself. so if you want to help me get it to factory settings ill be grateful to you. I can send you pics of the car and you could let me know what you think. what is nitro fuel supposed to smell like? lol. mine smell like gas

Should not smell like gas! If the dude was your friend why doesn't he help you! Anyway we are here to help bud,...post pics

you are using nitro fuel not "gas" right!
clean around the air filter and take it off carefully. what do you see?
no dirt or sandy looking pieces hopefully.
nitro fuel that has been opened or unsealed and left sitting on the concrete floor for 2 years ( don't laugh people do it all the time) may not start the motor at all.
do you have some fresh fuel? just a few questions to ask yourself.

he doesn't help me because he said he's too busy. plus when i had to change the gas lines around i thought he didn't know what he was doin

I'm going to orlando tomorrow and take it with me to the hobby shop to pick up some things like nitro fuel and glow plugs aand c if they can get it started

I'd have them reset needles for you and I'd certainly put in a new plug. That would mean however you must then tune the engine. There's tons of how-tos online, many on this site.

Hi,
This is probably a moot point. But a thought to consider.
Are you sure the receiver battery is fully charged?
It's easy to check your glow plug with the glow plug starter, but once it's placed in the motor, it's difficult to know. I can presume you checked the steering and such when you checked the throttle with your Tx, so dead battery, that's likely not the issue.

I'm sure when you arrive at the hobby shop they will have your answer.

Good luck, and have plenty of fun with your model.

Tutorial is very well done

When you are new to a hobby or sport, it's always good to read up on it or watch a few instructional videos to get some of the basics down.

I found this to be very helpful and would suggest it for anyone with interest in RTR models, to check it out.
