:banana: :banana: :banana: I jest order my new motor. I bought the .28 axial. I heard a lot of good stuff and wont to bet the 3.3 and I wanted a big block, like the 1 in my nova. Te he he AND I ONLY PAYED 100. FOR IT
 
Did you get the upgraded big block engine mount and chassis? Are you prepared to start upgrading drivetrain parts? The t-maxx is not really made to support the big block power, because of weak parts. Most do it anyway. Like me. I wouldn't do it again though... Learned my lesson, but will never sell the maxx.
 
I got the motor mount it works on the stock frame. and the motor will fit. my freind did it with a nother big block. the only thing up graded on my truck for dive train is a Aluminum Transmission case. but wen it brake give me a reson to tell my gf i need to up grade. o yah i have the foc so that will help some

ahhahahaha have fun up grading the trans, diff, turnbuckles, and every thing! you t-maxx will not be run after that engine brakes it hah

i know what I'm talk about becasue I'm thetmaxxman and i know very thing about the tmaxx and how horbal the maxx is.
dont get me wrong there nice looking truck and they handle very nice but there not ment to be upgraded. when you upgrade on this you got to upgrade every thing.

you may think your only spending 100 but in realty your going to be spending 300 on part. diff $ 60, trand , trans $130 and it going on......

I sold my tmaxx it was the best day of my hobby life.

I upgrade to a .26 picco engine. That engine was the sweets engine ever. It had so much power and top end it was crazy!! But one problem. It turned the turnbuckles in to pretzels and destroyed the Trans and killed the diff. my tmaxx cost me so much money it was insane.

Every time I bashed that truck something broke. Loll
 
Well I have 2 Maxx's and my Cyber-maxx has a XTM .247 in it . I've had the same diffs in it since I bought it. Call it luck call it whatever.. The only thing I recommend upgrading is the driveshafts. Ihave the XTM steel shafts but there are lots out there. If your slipper is set right your tranny should last pretty good for plastic gears. I put all metak gears in mine. My other Maxx is still all plastic inside and with a Hyper 8 port its holding nicely. I am in no way easy on my trucks..that being said I dont do backflips all day long and dont do 40 foot jumps. When you land on the throttle something is gonna break eventually. Just my .02 cents
 
not to sound anti-tmaxx but i know what i have but my maxx thruw and it was hell and back. I put so much money in to my make i hate to even think about it.

I traded a traxxas rustler for a used savage, the the story goes i put some up grades it to it like up grade diff just for the heck of it.

the last time i broke some thing on my savage was like 2 gallon ago and thats a long time i braked a upright joint, i hit a tree a full speed in mide air like 10 feet in the air it was funny. i have put my savage thruw more hell in 2 mounth that my t-maxx ever seen in it hole life i had it, 2 years of that t-maxx.


all i know is that the tmaxx should be put to sleep.

one thing i never got why dont the use steel gear lol


my 2 cence is that you sell you t-maxx and get some thing something a little more tuffer. offna make nice buggys as well
 
I really cannot comment on my maxx, as I have not bashed it since I finished it (and it isn't quite finished yet). I got the cyber maxx kit, aluminum trans case, aluminum bulkless set with the 1/8th scale buggy sealed 6-spider diffs, UE 8mm CVDs, Steel foc conversion, aluminum 1st and 2nd gear (so I have an all-metal trans)... Thats just the driveline... I feel so poor. :hehe:

That's a pretty bold statement to be making in this forum, chief, especially since you seem intent on thrashing the English language in the process.
 
Hey TMAXXMAN, if you're so down on the T-Maxx, why would you choose that for a user name? Also, if this is typical of your spelling ability, I think you need more time in school and less time in this hobby. Not trying to be mean, but the real world isn't nice. The better your education, the better your chances for survival.

As for the original post, where did you get it for that price? Was it new? I'm going get my own T-Maxx education, I just bought a basket case to fix up. Luckily it already has some aluminum upgrades on it.

Your grammar is killing me. I find it very difficult to read through your posts. How do you expect a logical response when your posts are so choppy and your spelling is horrible at times?

thanks revome.. the only thing that sucks is il have it by next week end. and i would like to see this weekend what header will work
 
Gotta wait for good things... only bad stuff happens immediately.
In my mind I was driving my new (used) Revo for the last 3 days, but it never made it to me... Seller UPSET, Buyer UPSET, but still patiently waiting :o)

They reason why you were attacking my grammar is because you know I am right about the T-maxx being a was of time and money. The revo can take a beating pretty good.

First off, yes my spelling was bad because that day I type that stuff up. I had a really bad caffeine head ache and I could not even think. My brain was like so slow, some time I could not even recall words, it was that bad, but o well. I got to get off this caffeine energy drinks. My brain it dependent on them! Lol


Any ways THEVULGARCOWBOY420 the engine is not going to be your only cost. You are going to be put money in to upgrading the diffs, trans, dog-bones. And a lot more.

I am still not so convinced that the T-Maxx is "such" a waste of time and money, and if there was a day where 50 T-Maxx owners meet (I mean 50 all around the board, occasional hobbydrivers & WOT racers you would have a hard time saying all this with a straight face.) Depending on Caffeine Energy Drinks? And you are typing in class? Darn I have like the wrong profession!
