After blowing my 20th glow plug and getting raped on fuel prices, and basically killing myself slowly with cigarettes...I've decided that I want to quit smoking and nitro all together. What a better way to blow money than to go brushless! Not that it hasn't been done before but it ain't been done the destrucktomaxx way. Wish me luck!

EDIT: Anyone with idea's or cheap brushless parts should msg me, cuz I'll need all the help I can get!

Glad to see you want to quit smoking. Can't say the same for quitting nitro though. The cancer sticks are a total waste of money. I used to smoke and I can't imagine spending that kind of money on those things these days.

But the nitro makes me smoke! It's a pain in the ass trying to keep it running and all the tuning and the fuel...brushless is better in terms of hassle. I still love nitro, but I'd rather be runnin, than wrenchin.

True true, i dont blame ya man. It's just sad to see a Nitro addict quit the addiction(nitro not cigarettes). Best of luck to you bro.

Good call on the smokes, the Nitro is your choice I guess. I have to say I'm happy running electric, and brushless is developing so much these days you can have a lot of fun on a lot less money than Nitro. It's sad in a way because Nitro rocks, but I'm never gonna get into it now, if I get an E-Firestorm and fit brushless to it I'll probably be able to drop a LiPo in and keep up wot ha lot of Nitro rigs anyway :P

i actually quit smoking myself recently with the help of chantix. worked great for me.

goodluck with staying stopped. if you need anyone to talk to hit me up. i can tell you what worked for me.

i also am getting out of nitro. selling off my revo will be the last of the nitros i got left. i wish i had money to convert it to brushless but its probably cheaper to just buy an ERevo lol

best of luck to you!

UPDATE:

This has been the hardest thing to ever quit, lol! 3 days without a puff, but I have plenty of help from friends and especially my girl. She's been my greatest support thus far. She's even gone so far as to make me a deal.....quit smoking and stay quit, and she'll buy the brushless controller for my bday! Even though she doesn't know a thing about this stuff.

That sounds like a hell of deal to me, good luck and I'm with you when it comes to Nitro, Don't get me wrong when they run right there a freakin blast and the sound and smell of nitro is cool to, but brushless and electric are my RC power of choice.

I love my nitro---its a hobby cause you work on it more than you play with it lol

But MAJOR props for quitting smoking, I have a few friends I wish would quit.
