I got a new revo yesterday and went throught the break in proceedures to the tee... and then ran a few more tanks of gas... it was fast and fun after break in...it was fun for my 1st nitro...

so... today i went to run the truck... and for some reason it doesn't want to go... it takes almost full throttle to make it just move...??? its almost as if the clutch is not engaging... HELP... daylight is burning and i got no fun out of it today... and traxxas tech support is not in today... i can't wait til monday for them to come back to work... and I've got a golf course to terrorize...lol

check your slipper clutch make sure it is not to loose also check all your drive shafts make sure you did not brake one or loose the pins also check the wheel pins under the hex's make sure you did not brake one of them after that i am out of ideas hope it helps

yes thanks , it was the slipper clutch... I am still playing with the adjusments and it seems that revo ships the truck with factory settings for protection... it was so rich that i had fuel literally dripping out of the exhaust on the 1st tank... i called support that day and they had me reset that setting and i was able to get through the engine break in. I had no issue with the clutch on the break in but overnight it seemed to change... i tightened the nut only about 1/4 turn in 1/8 turn incriments... it has dramatically increased the torque at the wheel... it still doesn't wheelie with just throttle but I'm still experimenting... but is that all it takes to wheelie is to tighten the clutch some more?... I dont believe the clutch is too tight yet because it stays still at idle...

the slipper clutch on the trans will not affect weather or not the truck moves when it idles.
